Conflict, Peace, Beauty, and Joy

We need a major shift in our lives as the world continues to provide us with colorful and concise conflict continuously in the palm of our hands. We live with conflict, but need and want peace, beauty, and joy. 

The pins represent the conflict and the cobalt blue represents beauty and joy trying to come forth. This wave of steel pins mingled with cobalt blue on canvas is repurposed from a larger artwork from my graduate thesis, Umbilicus, 71¼“ x 161” during our Pandemic mandatory lockdown.

As we reflect on, look for, and create solutions for the conflict around us and within us; don’t we all seek peace filled with beauty and joy?
