Why Do We Argue?, Linocut with Chine Collié, 15" x 10 3/4", 2001
Have you ever laid on the grass and as the clouds go by you see images change before your very eyes? I see creative images in wood grain patterns too! Do you see the man and woman arguing?
This print was made by rolling ink on top of linoleum cut printing plate, laying a damp piece of paper on the plate and rolling it through a press. The chine collié technique was used with wheat paste applied on handmade rice paper before printing.
The handmade rice paper and printmaking techniques make slight variations in each print. The linoleum plate is not included in purchase but is shown for understanding of the process.
