Woman, Linocut on Paper, 24" x 19", 2001
Printmaking is fascinating because you can get exceptionally fine lines or extremely, expressive free lines with a variety of printmaking techniques. In addition, an artist can make an unlimited amount of prints.
This print was made by rolling ink on top of a linoleum printing plate, laying a damp piece of paper on the plate, and rolling it through a press multiple times
Afterwards, various colors of ink were rolled over the print and the lips were hand painted.
This print cannot be reproduced because the plate has been destroyed.
